The Sycom SYC-ST27B Surge Protector delivers reliable protection for telephone and data lines against damaging voltage surges. Featuring screw terminal connections and solid-state technology, this compact protector safeguards a wide array of communication equipment from power spikes entering through voice and data lines.
Telephone systems, modems, fax machines, DSL equipment, security systems, alarm panels, data communication equipment, and any devices connected to telephone or data lines requiring surge protection.
Voltage surges don't just come through power lines—they can also enter through telephone and data connections. Lightning strikes, power line contact, and utility switching can send damaging surges through phone and data lines, destroying expensive equipment. The Sycom SYC-ST27B provides a critical layer of protection that standard power surge protectors can't offer.
Professional Installation: The screw terminal design allows for secure, permanent connections using 24 to 12 AWG wire. Connect the protected line between your incoming telephone/data line and your equipment, and connect the central ground terminal to a proper earth ground for optimal protection.
Important Note: These units should not be used on signal lines capable of supplying more than 125 milliamps continuously (497A version). Ensure your application is compatible before installation.
Trusted Protection: Sycom has been a leader in surge protection technology for decades, providing reliable protection for critical communication equipment in commercial and industrial applications worldwide.
