The Amerex A344T 1.25 lb Halon 1211 Fire Extinguisher provides clean, effective fire suppression without leaving residue or causing damage to sensitive electronics. Discharging as a rapidly evaporating gas, Halon 1211 is specifically designed for protecting computers, telecommunications equipment, and other valuable electronics where traditional dry chemical extinguishers would cause unacceptable contamination.
Aircraft, boats, vehicles, computer rooms, telecommunications facilities, laboratories, clean rooms, server rooms, museums, libraries, and any location with sensitive electronic equipment that cannot tolerate residue from traditional extinguishers.
Halon 1211 offers unique advantages for protecting sensitive equipment:
When discharged, Halon 1211 rapidly evaporates and interrupts the chemical chain reaction of the fire. Unlike dry chemical extinguishers that leave corrosive powder residue, or CO2 extinguishers that can cause thermal shock to electronics, Halon 1211 provides effective fire suppression while leaving virtually no residue and causing minimal collateral damage to sensitive equipment.
Important Note About Halon: Halon 1211 production was phased out under the Montreal Protocol due to ozone depletion concerns. However, existing Halon extinguishers remain legal to own, use, and recharge with recycled Halon. This makes Halon extinguishers increasingly valuable for critical applications where no other agent provides the same combination of effectiveness and clean suppression.
Important Note: This extinguisher is NOT rated for Class A fires (ordinary combustibles like wood, paper, or cloth). For multi-purpose protection, consider our Amerex ABC Fire Extinguisher models.
Protect Your Investment: Sensitive electronic equipment represents significant investments. The Amerex A344T Halon 1211 extinguisher protects that investment by providing effective fire suppression without the equipment damage and costly cleanup associated with traditional dry chemical extinguishers.
