How CO2 Extinguishers Work:

When discharged, carbon dioxide rapidly expands and cools, creating a white cloud of CO2 "snow" that displaces oxygen around the fire. Important Safety Note: CO2 extinguishers discharge at extremely cold temperatures (-109°F). Avoid skin contact with the discharge horn during use. CO2 displaces oxygen, so ensure adequate ventilation after use in enclosed spaces. This extinguisher is NOT rated for Class A fires (ordinary combustibles like wood, paper, or cloth).
